Brian Person begins his 10th seasons as head coach of the UMobile women’s soccer program in 2016. He is 110-60-16 overall, has won two SSAC Coach of the Year honors (2011 & 2014) and has guided his teams to six-straight NAIA National Championship appearances. Person previously served as assistant coach for six seasons at UMobile after wrapping up his collegiate playing career with the Rams.

Austin Brown begins his third season as assistant coach for the UMobile women’s soccer team in 2016 after helping guide the team to back-to-back SSAC Championships and NAIA National Championship appearances. Brown previously spent two seasons as an assistant at Harding University after a four-year playing career at Harding. He also spent two seasons in the PDL.

Taylor Lee Ledbetter
Strength And Conditioning Coach: 3rd Season
Alma Mater: Mobile

Taylor Lee Ledbetter is no stranger to the University of Mobile. She played in 173 games as a member of the UMobile softball team from 2006-09, won a NAIA National Championship in 2006 and finished 2nd at the NAIA National Tournament in 2008.

In her career, she totaled 82 RBI, 83 runs scored, 27 stolen bases and 17 doubles. In 2007, she hit .310 with 15 extra base hits and 36 runs driven in.

Ledbetter graduated from Mobile with a BS in Athletic Training and went on to earn her M.Ed in Exercise Science/Biomechanics at Auburn University. While at Auburn, she gained strength and conditioning experience with basketball, football, softball, soccer, tennis and swimming and diving. She is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.

Athletic Trainer: 4th Season
Alma Mater: Delta State

Jacob Lewis will begin the 2015-16 year as the newly hired Head Athletic Trainer for UM's athletic department. Jacob begins his 3rd year at UM after having covered men's and women's soccer and softball for the last two years. Jacob's work overseeing the daily demands of the training room, managing athletic training students clinical proficiencies, developing rehabilitation protocols, and creating a positive Christian environment for all student athletes is what will make him a great fit for his new role. 

Jacob completed his undergraduate degree at Division II Delta State University in Cleveland, MS in May 2013. At Delta, his clinical experience included work with D-II football, softball, baseball, cross country, and swim and dive. Internship opportunities his senior year included work with baseball at Jones Community College.

Jacobs's new role as Head Athletic Trainer will not change his sport's assignments, but it will involve additional responsibilities. Overseeing 18 intercollegiate athletic teams, 4 junior varsity squads, athletic training students, drug testing, insurance claims and referrals, and managing 3 certified athletic trainers on staff will make this next step challenging yet rewarding as he continues to build his professional skill set.

Jacob is married to Lauren Lewis, a graduate from UM's Physical Education program. In his pastime, Jacob is an avid outdoorsman that loves archery hunting and fishing.
