Mike Jacobs will begin his 28th season at the helm of the University of Mobile baseball program in 2017. Coach Jacobs is 876-572-2 all-time since beginning the UMobile baseball program in 1990. He has guided his teams to four conference championships and a berth in the 2001 NAIA World Series. Jacobs has seen 35 players go on to sign professional contracts.

Jon Seymour will begin his 13th season as an assistant coach at the University of Mobile in 2017. Seymour oversees pitching, recruiting and field maintenance among other duties. His 2015 pitching staff ranked top-10 all-time at UMobile in ERA, strikeouts and batting average against. Eight of his pupils have signed professional contracts and Tucker Ward, Corey Hale and Josh Shelley were drafted in 2015 and 2016.

  • Justin Bracewell named GCAC Pitcher of the Year in 2008

  • Worked with eight pitchers who signed professional contracts (Jeff Lyons, Chris Peacock, Tucker Ward, Corey Hale, Kyle McPherson, Nelson Curry, Keegan Laycock and Jason Ragan)
  • McPherson was drafted in the 14th round in 2007 and reached the big leagues in 2012
