Billy Evans will begin his fifth season as head coach of the University of Mobile women’s basketball team in 2016-17. He is 70-52 in three seasons at UMobile, including leading the 2013-14 team to a SSAC Tournament Championships and trip to the NAIA National Tournament. He is 236-215 all-time as a head coach after spending 11 seasons at Belhaven University.  
 

Mobile (2012-Present)

  • 70-52 in four seasons at Mobile
  • 2013-14 team won the SSAC Tournament Championship and advanced to the NAIA Tournament
  • 236-215 overall as a head coach
  • Three NAIA All-Americans at Mobile and four First-Team All-SSAC selections

Prior to Mobile

  • Spent 11 seasons as head coach of Belhaven University
  • 166-163 career record with the Blazers
  • Won 50 games over the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons
  • Made back-to-back trips to the NAIA National Tournament
  • Spent 2000-01 season as an assistant coach at Millsaps College
  • Spent 1994-00 as head coach at Northwest Rankin HS
    • Went 94-54
    • Advanced to the State Championship game in 1999
  • 1977 graduate of Northeast Louisiana University

Erika Stuckman will begin her first season as assistant women’s basketball coach in 2016-17. She comes to the University of Mobile after previous coaching stops in the AAU and recreational ranks in Florida, including the Florida Sun AAU program. She played collegiately at Tuskegee.

Stuckman’s Educational/Athletic Background

  • Played for Tuskegee during the 2009-10 season
  • Earned bachelor’s degree in public relations in 2013 from Florida A&M
  • Prepped at P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School, reaching multiple Final Fours and advancing to one State Championship game
