Andy Canegitta will begin his third season at the helm of the University of Mobile men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field programs in 2016-17. Jonina Brinson won the individual NAIA National Championship in the indoor and outdoor long jump and Canegitta was named SSAC Men’s Track & Field Coach of the Year and USTFCCCA Regional Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year.  
 

Mobile (2014-Present)

  • Head coach of Men’s and Women’s Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field teams
  • Men’s Outdoor Track & Field won the 2016 SSAC Outdoor Championship
  • 14 athletes competed at the NAIA Indoor and Outdoor National Championships
  • Eight athletes have earned NAIA All-America honors in his two seasons

Prior to Mobile

  • Head coach of Track & Field and Cross Country at Loyola (2009-14)
  • 12 runners qualified for the NAIA National Championships
  • 58 school records in outdoor Track & Field
  • 26 All-Conference selections
  • 18 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes
  • 12 Capital One Academic All-District honorees
  • Assistant coach at Warner Southern and Webber International
  • Helped begin the Webber International track program in 2001

  • Masters of Business Administration in 2004 from Webber International
  • Bachelor of Science in sports management in 2001 from Webber International
  • Four-year letterman in cross country
  • Three Florida Sun Conference Champions
